Hi,

I want to ask about the relation between the communication devices and the software protocols.

I mean, for example, if I have S7 PLC and I can to connect it with more than one way (Rs232, MPI, Profibus...). I'm now asking on the software communication protocol to the PLC, do I have to use different software driver for each way?
