Connect a Panasonic GT01 display to a Beckhoff BX8000 PLC

I set up a BC8150 with a Panasonic GT01 (RS232C version) display a couple of months ago, and it has been working fine. Now the existing program needs updating, and we have decided to upgrade our controller as well to a BX8000. I have managed to put the new updated program on it fine, and it simulated fine, but now I cannot get the HMI to communicate with it.

Does anybody have any advice as to the best way to connect the two? Or is there something glaringly obvious and stupid I am doing wrong?

I have tried using different wiring and still nothing!
