What method can I use to connect an SLC 5/05 Ethernet connection to a Siemens remote IO system that feeds back to an S7-300 and be able to read data from the SLC and send data to it? (The RS232 port on the SLC is already in use.)

Is there an interface device out there that would convert this over?

 

Have you considered adding a ethernet card to the S7 and sending data over ethernet?

 

The other day I installed a Profibus board inside a SLC 5/04 and made a link between the SLC and a S7.
