Does anyone know to establish communication between a GE Fanuc 90-70 and AB ControlLogix PLC over Ethernet? Alternatively, does anyone have information on GE Fanuc 90-70 Ethernet protocol.

Thanks.

GE 90-70 can talk modbus TCP/IP which is widely supported as well as a proprietary protocol I do not know much about. The AB plc talks Ethernet IP which is a protocol developed by AB and only supported by a small number of device manufacturers. To allow data exchange between these non similar protocols on an ethernet network you need a bridge that can talk in both protocols and has a shared memory space that both can access. Look at "www.prolinx-gateways.com":http://www.prolinx-gateways.com for one such device. Note the device only provides for data exchange. Since both are on ethernet this is a simple network design, as the bridge, AB plc and GE plc only need be on the same ethernet subnet and their physical location does not make any difference.

Look at SST's website. They offer various types of "Bridges" from one network to the other.
The Series 90 PLC's ethernet protocol is SRTP or ethernet global data.
