Connecting to Parker servo Drive

We are developing a new manufacturing unit. We wish to drive from Mach3 software via a Pixie card to a Parker Digiplan DS750 Drive Amplifier and DSM726 Servo motor.

We have not been able to confirm the correct wiring between the Pixie output (-10 to +10 VDC) to the inputs to the DS750 drive. It has (+/- ref inputs, common, +/-10vdc reference).

Can anyone advise the correct wiring strategy? We have searched the Parker web site and very little info on these UK built units is listed.

Regards,

Graham

Call their tech support at 800 358 9068. I would imagine it would be the +/- ref inputs, but Digiplan drives can be somewhat non-intuitive. Compumotor has pretty good technical support though, and they used to hand it out freely to anyone who called. If the person you talk to doesn't know, have them talk to Ravi Garimella. I think he is the contact there for Digiplan stuff, and he's pretty sharp.

Graham,

(common, +/-10vdc reference) is for Single ended and (+/- ref inputs) is for Differential connection. Try first one with Pixie output (-10 to +10 VDC) and GND.
