What is the best way to connect WinCC to a PLC5? I was thinking of using the RS-Linx OPC server with WinCC as the OPC client. Has anybody tried this? Is there a better way?

OPC will work, even though there are some issues (especially on Quality codes and update times). There are also two optional communication channels available in WinCC for A-B processors: Serial DF1, and DH/DH+/DH485, requiring the usual A-B hardware in the PC.
