I have problem with a connection between inverter VLT 2800 to PC with a software MCT10 ver.2.25 via RS232. The connection couldn't be detected. When I click "Scan Network", the result was "Warning! drive at address x was not found" for all address. In the manual book of VLT2800, connection to the PC use RS232 and connection to VLT2800 use RS485, but the VLT2800 only have RS232 connection.
I do need help for this problem. Thanks for everyone can help me.

 

I think VLT2800 only support RS485, you can use a RS485 conveter connecting with PC usb port or COM port.

 

You could try an Adam 4561 from Advantech.
It's a USB to RS232/422/485 converter.
