Controlling a Miniature Robotic Arm

I have been working with AB and SquareD PLCs now for a few months and have an interest in using one of them in a project for school.

What I would like to do is get a small robotic arm, connect it to the PLC and via a web interface allow a user to make the arm grab and rotate a sign.

I have found a small 'trainer' arm at "": , and I am waiting for a response as to the availability of detailed information regarding the
comm. interface.

Has anyone done this in the past? Any ideas or tips?
