Anyone out there experiencing ladder memory failure on older ControlLogix processors? One of our customers has had two isolated occurrences in the last 6 months. He has three identical systems, but one has twice lost the ladder. In these cases, the original program was e-mailed to a local A-B vendor and he downloaded the program to the processor. Unfortunately, newer customer entered recipes were lost. These are all older 1756-L1 processors with version 4.xx firmware. They have been installed for nearly three years. The customer does not power down the equipment. Only intermittent local power failures would interrupt processor operation and these are not being reported.

Suggestions and guidance are appreciated.

I called some clients, rev 2.xx, rev 4.xx, and rev 7.xx. 32 month to 12 months and no problems
reported.
