Can anyone help me convert a Modicon 884 PLC program to 984. The 884 program was upload from the PLC using Taylor 884 (DOS) and the file extensions are *.BIN, *.NWF, *.NWP. I am currently using Proworx Nxt and want to load the converted program into a Quantum PLC.

 

Contact Modicon Tech Services. They have a utility to do most of the conversion, and then the final check must be done by a knowledgeable person as a few things are not so straight forward. Note: They will not provide you the conversion utility it is only used internally by their tech services personnel.

 

I have developed utility for converting R84 and U84 programs to 984 programs. Both of them were using Taylor packages .bin .nwf and .nwp files.. Taylor packagers differ in file structure for different plcs.. i'll have to touch up the existing utility a bit to get it working on 884. It will be interesting to do one more.
