The obsolescence of parts has necessitated a redesign of the Quantum Automation Series 140 CPU 534 14A controller. This redesigned version of the controller will be designated with “B” at the end of the part number (i.e., 140 CPU 534 14B).

my question is: This version is functionally identical to the version ”A”?

 

Yes, the same functionality, but quicker processing speed / faster scan time of the micro controller. No other changes.

If your application is not time sensitive, then no issue to download the old appli into the new CPU.
If it's time critical 'cause of scan time, then you need to take into accont upon creating new application.
