I am following API 12.1 for crude oil net volume and net weight calculation, but i need help to clarify a doubt concerning Net Weight calculation for crude oil.
API indicates the use of " Intraconversion between volume measures and density measures table" entering the Table with the Oil API gravity at 60F. The doubt is if that gravity is the observed oil mix (dehydrated oil with less than 1% of volume of water) gravity converted to 60F or is the pure crude oil (100% crude oil with 0% of water) gravity converted at 60F. API MPMS 12.1 does not clarify which gravity shall be used.
In the case that is the pure crude oil gravity then how that value is obtained?
Is there any conversion table or is a value that must be obtained from the lab?
