I am having difficulties with a DNC84PS which boots OK from DOS, stops at the language page and cannot retain memory of previously stored language. We re-enter english to return to previous parameter then proceeds to cybelec window and has no parameters stored. Re-entering and saving these parameters, does not seem to save them permenantly, back-up battery has been checked and is working, as the clock retains time. The machine with no parameters saved in memory will of course now not function in any way. Do you have any thoughts on what may be causing the memory to be lost during shut-down (power/off) as all data should be written to memory and saved whilst operational?
Any assistance with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

 

Have you metered the 5 volts at the Cpu on the mother board? You can email us with your problems at [email protected] UK cybelec repair center.
