i am recently doing a dc motor driver, but can't use any IC chip, and the circuit can control the direction (CW/CCW)... and need the calculation too... seem like how to get base current, how to lat the motor run... more...

i am not sure about the voltage of your dc motor, but you can use TOSHIBA driver TA8429H and can go up to 24 volts with constant current of 3 amps (starting current 4 amps). you may use elctronic pulse circuit for constant speed for instance timer 555.
