Density Meter for Abrasive Slurry in 8" Pipe

Does anybody know of a continuous, non-nuclear, in-line density meter that can be used in abrasive slurries? I saw a thread on here a while back asking this question, but it looks like there was some debate over which meter was best. (Ultrasonic vrs tuning fork, etc) It looked like someone was trying to push a SCIAM DM3. It seems that this company does not exist anymore?

After some research, I also found this "Ultimo" meter but I'm not sure it can truly compensate for vibration like it says. (http://www.ultimompd.com/)

Anyone have any advice or ideas?

Hi,

why don't you ask Ultimo Company for some references? Vibration of the pipe could be filtered, perhaps

I notice that Ultimo's tech brochure mentions neither an accuracy value nor a statistical precision. They claim to be able to read out in percent solids with no explanation of how they get there.

Just sayin'

I heard that the SCIAM DM3 project was pulled back, with all efforts being pushed to a newer, more industrialized design. I believe the density meter that will suit your needs (non-nuclear, real-time) is called a MassExact.

The website for this density gauge is www.directdensity.com
