The many great posts so far suggest that we may even have to invent or at least hone the language that we use to talk about this PLC thing.

1. Perhaps we should begin to produce a little glossary or dictionary so that we all work from a similar set of meanings.

2. We could produce blocks of code in various languages that further define/refine those definitions.

3. We could produce a graphic(s) that shows the proposed components and how they interact, for those of us who live on the borders of dyslexia.

4. Link it all tegether.

None of this would have to be set in stone right now. Just put it all up - Ken willing - as a set of pages on http://linuxplc.org with folders for
glossary/terminology, code(by language), graphics, or whatever, and we could suggest bits and let it all loop with reactions to each iteration.
