Hi, List:
I have an application in which I have to connect an Omron Master Safety CPU with a couple of remote safety I/O modules over DeviceNet Safety using a fiber optic cable multi model 62.5/125 um with a couple of DeviceNet Fiber Optic Transceivers. I hardly achieve the communication, but getting some timeout errors which made my application lose availability, so the I/O output modules switch to safe position driving the plant to a safe situation.
The same configuration using DeviceNet with standard non-safety modules instead the safety ones runs perfectly. Anyone has experimented something similar? Which converters/repeaters have you used? Is there some transceiver specially designed for safety?
