Hi All Artwork is done and mostly checked. It goes off to fab in the morning. Is anybody really interested in building this in the near future? I'll put it up if there is interest. Otherwise I'll wait till I get a BOM and notes done. Board blanks will cost $27.00 in qty 10. I estimate another $30.00 in components. With the DIO48 that's about $3.00 a point for industrial IO. I'll start on the non-isolated version this weekend. Cost should be somewhat less. Hi Jeff The boards are being fabbed by Alberta Printed Circuits as we speak. These boards belong to my day job (they paid for the fab). I need to build and test at least one before I release the stuff. I don't have any docs yet either except in my head. Some time next week I should have verified the design and scratched out some documentation. The boards may arrive by Friday and I have the rest of the components enroute. Someone else wanted board blanks or whole cards, I couldn't tell which. My consultancy is not set up for retail sales so I'll see if my day job wants to get a batch done and sell them. The artwork and gerbers are the property of the project and will be publicly available as soon as I can do the docs and figure out how to keep them publicly owned. The package will consist of the artwork in pcb format, the top and bottom layer gerbers in RS274X format and whatever docs I write. Should they go in the cvs archive or ? This is a good question for all. What do we do with non-code IP that belongs to the project? With code we can retain copyright and license as GPL. What the heck do I do with this? Can you GPL artwork??!!?? Regards cww _______________________________________________ LinuxPLC mailing list [email protected] http://linuxplc.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxplc
