I need a C++ program so that the readings/data from the sensor on the zigbee board through the serial port can be transferred to the PC and shown on the PC through this program.

Depending on how fancy you want the interface, you can use Excell (write a macro) or you can use TheSoftwareWedge (www.softwarewedge.com) which has been around for many years, or you can use something sophisticated like LabView.

All of those already work and you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
