I am trying to understand the method of selecting the appropriate protocol to be used when connecting to a meter (I have HHU, for example).
Lets say my HHU wants to be able to support both DLMS/COSEM only meters or IEC-62056-21 Mod C only meters, or IEC-62056-21 Mod E meters or Modbus meters etc.
Do I need to define a protocol fallback method which will identify the protocols supported by the meter device? Is there any protocol selection specification?
