Reinhausen TAPCON 250 Load Tap Changer currently set up for Modbus RTU. Foxboro DCS comm protocol supports Modbus RTU over TCP/IP. Would like to use DNP3 TCP/IP with a Foxboro FBM232 apparently Foxboro does not support DNP3 over RS-485. Reinhausen TAPCON 250 has DNP3 in their literature has anyone communicated with these 2 vendors? I would need to purchase new drivers does anyone foresee any other issues.

 

why don't you use OPC? it's cheaper and you won't locked to vendors.. All you need for this to work is a Data Manager to bridge between Foxboro DCS and the DNP3. Here is a link to download it:
