Can we modify our DP transmitter to be a PT to measure high pressure in one point only instead of DP between two points ??? What we should do and take care of? Such as plugging the low side of it??

 

Connect the high side port to the point to be measured. Do not plug the low side port; leave it open to the atmosphere. The reported measurement then references atmospheric pressure and is a gauge pressure measurement.

 

You should also screw in a sintered brass breather into the low side port to keep dirt and crud from entering the transducer and impacting the diaphragm. You now have a working single ended pressure transmitter.

 

Agree on the sintered breather filter. It can keep insects like mud daubers from making the DP's low port a home and blocking the port with mud.
