Can anyone make clear to me what is the difference between SENSITIVE EARTH FAULT & RESTRICTED EARTH FAULT PROTECTION? How will we judge that between the two, which protection has to be given to a particular feeder?

Sensitive refers to the magnitude, while restricted refers to the zone of protection!

Restricted, as it's name is used for normally Transformer Protection (restricted to internal faults of transformer) & sensitive earth fault for a feeder protection.
