Effect of stress factor when Gas turbines are operated at Base Load vs Part Load

We operate the machines continuously at Base Load which gives us maximum efficiency. We want to know whether stress increases in the machine due to continuous operation of Gas Turbines at Base Load and stress reduces if operated just below the Base Load. We have observed Frame VI machines are very sensible to spread even if we decrease 0.5 MW when the machine is operating at 29 MW load with Naphtha firing spread increases by 10-12 Deg C, similarly if we increase the load by 0.5 MW spread reduces by 10-12 Deg C. Is it the same phenomenon observed in other machines?
