Electrical drawing program recommendations

Dear community members,

I am seeking advice on an electrical drawing software for designing schematics for a diesel powered generator plant. I am particularly interested in a program that is widely used and preferred by other electrical technicians. The plant consists of gensets generating 11KV, step up transformers to 33KV, and a substation with switchgear.

I would like to be able to create a comprehensive electrical layout of the entire plant and also draw control panel wiring. I would be grateful for any recommendations or suggestions you may have.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,
Calvin

The best and most industry accepted software is AutoCAD. It is available on a monthly or yearly subscription. It is not easy for a beginner to use. Your best bet is to either generate hand drawn sketches and advertise for an experienced AutoCAD tech to convert your sketches to drawings, or to advertise for an experienced engineer to do the whole job for you.
