How can I simply convert from Ethernet to Modbus Plus? I currently use Niobrara MEBs, which seem like overkill. I did a search and found the Anybus X Gateway,

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or do you have any other suggestions.

My other alternative is to use a USB Modbus Plus adapter.

My ideal solution would be to find something that I can place inline without adding any drivers, etc.

Make sure that you clarify what you want to do. There are some gateways (bridges) on the market that allow you to read/write data but not to program. The Schneider CEV200 works well but may be overkill if all you are doing is moving data.
