How to calculate loss due to evaporation in above ground petroleum product storage tanks?

Where are the evaporation loss of petroleum product is sent out of tank. If it is vented out through pipe to flare or some thing like that you can put a flow meter -mass and find out the loss.. is this is good suggestion or any flaw in it ??? P. Suresh

You need the following data Diffusivity coeff for process fluid in air Vent size Tank dimensions For the exact equation refer to Mass transfer Treybal Chapt 1 Molecular diffusion
