Ex e certified enclosure with an intrinsically safe circuit

Hi

I am procuring a few Ex-e junction boxes that will only contain terminals for IS circuits. The JBs will have a warning label saying that "the enclosures contain IS circuits".

But my supplier has brought a confusion to me. According to him i cannot have the Ex-e mark and warning label at the same time. He says if i want to have the IS circuits warning label then the enclosure will change to Ex-ia. Ex-e certification is only possible if i have no IS circuit warning.

As far as my knowledge goes JBs do not have Ex-ia certification as this is only applicable to energy carrying components. but upon my research i found that JB with Ex ia certification are also available. So will my enclosures be Ex e [ia]? This matter will be sorted out by the client who has the technical team looking after such things but i want to better my understanding as well. Can anyone help?
