Excel linking to S7 300

I need to read and write data into and from S7 300 using an MS Excel worksheet. I have WinCC Flexi running on the PC.

I don't want to use the OPC, but would like to know if Excel values can be dumped into the PLC registers.

I know of several manufacturers like Tri-PLC.com, Horner, EZ Automation all can do this. But I want to do this with S7.
