I am installing an Exd instrument in Zone 1. I am not sure if I should use armoured or non-armoured cable.

The type of gland I choose depends on my chosen cable type. Should I go with armoured or unarmoured.?

Will anybody be able to assist?

If your regulations state that you need to follow IEC rules, then IEC 60079-14 part does not state anything regarding cable construction. So, you could either go with armored or unarmored, your choice.
Look at your state regulations, but i doubt that it has any rules on amored/unarmored cable in Exd zone.
