Extracting a Program from an AB PanelView 550 HMI

Hi there,

This is Hassan here. I have a Allen Bradley PanelView550 HMI. It has a program installed in it. I want to extract full Program out of it and then transfer it to a fresh HMI of same make/model. Could it be done easily? Any help in this regard shall be highly appreciated.

Yes it could be done easily.

you will need Panel Builder software from AB and a serial cable

you can upload the runtime file out of the HMI using the transfer utility built into the software package that programs the unit. then you would xfer the uploaded file to the new HMI.
