I am seeking, standard and criteria to locate F&G detectors in refinery process units.

You can use "AE"(stands for Analyzer Element) and "AT"(stands for Analyzer Transmitter) as the identification letters for identifying the F&G detectors in P&IDs. The gas being detected by the sensor should be mentioned next to the balloon. This is in line with ISA SP 5.1. I have seen this being used by many process technology suppliers in their P&IDs.
