I have a problem with a level transmitter. It gives always 4 mA at high span and not 20 mA. Do i have to put it in inv or dir???

 

What make/model of transmitter?

 

If you mean that the 4ma output ocurrs at zero level and 20ma output ocurs at maximum level, then you do not have a problem. This is pretty much "standard." There are some sensors that will allow you to program your setpoints inversly. For the above statement, zero level means an empty vessel and maximum level means a full vessel.

 

Hey just put the transmitter in the dir range. It will Serve the purpose.
