FSR to Valve Opening

Hi,

Can anyone help me in finding and explaining the equations used to convert the FSR into Gas control valve openings in 9E? How is this split in two or three GCVs if required?

Thanks.

The answer is in your CSP (if the unit uses a Mark V) or the application code (if the unit uses a Mark VI).

If there's a single GCV, GCV position is generally equal to FSR. Some people even (mistakenly) call the GCV the "FSR" valve.

If there are multiple gas control valves, such as in a DLN combustion system, the division of fuel flow is a function of the combustion mode and/or nozzle area.

But, the exact answer is specific to the type of combustion system (if it's a typical standard combustor) and the vintage of the control system and the philosophy and practices in use at the time the unit or combustion system was installed/commissioned.

You can work backwards from the servo-valve output signal name in the sequencing/logic to see how the relationships are derived.
