We have 03 GE frame 9E machines under commissioning. During a risk survey it was pointed out that if the Natural Gas Compressor (supplying primary fuel,NG to the 9Es) fails the machines might not change over to HSD (back up fuel) because the NG pressure might drop too quickly. Can any one explain how long it takes for the 9Es to change over from Natural Gas to HSD? A good explanation on change over dynamics would be very helpful.
