I need some help with the HSC in a GE Fanuc Series 90 Micro. I can't seem to get the PLC to read my Square wave input from a signal generator. I have configured I1 to be a type A counter.
The signal is 2kHz and the current Pk-to-Pk is 4V with 50%duty cycle.
I think the Voltage of the signal is too low. How do I amplify the signal? I can amplify the peak-to-peak voltage (with an non-inverting Op-amp) but not the actual DC level to the 24VDC minimum.
Do I need to use a "Differential Amplifier"? or is there a way to boost the voltage of the signal so the PLC can recognise it?
Thanks.
