I am putting together a new installation for a tri-gen plant that has a mix of diesel and gas reciprocating engines. the diesel and gas must load share when islanded and the gas sets must load share when grid parallel. It seems that most of the European gas engine providers will only operate with droop control for the load sharing. The modules that I am looking at installing provide added trim signals to ensure true VAR sharing.
I would like to implement this facility into the control system however the local distributor for the engine supplier has stated that they will not accept any trim signals and droop is all that is available. Has anyone else come across this issue?
