Generator Excitation

Hi there,

I am currently researching various types of generator excitation systems and I am looking for some guidance on voltage regulation and what effects it.

I realise that the prime mover governor and the AVR are not directly related but do effect each other. So my question is, What effects does poor prime mover governor response have on the recovery time from a transient period?
