GT Fogging - reduced output

One of our clients installed a fogging system on their GT.

When they took it in use, they got a reduction in output of 4 MW, or 10%.

The fogging system is delivered by one of the major American manufacturers of fogging systems.

They use of course, demin water in the system.

Since they have never been able to reach more than 90% of what they produce without the fogging system, they have stopped using it.

Can anyone give a possible reason for the drop in output, and what they should possibly do to overcome this problem?

Any suggestion, either through this site or to my e-mail: norindo at big. net. id is highly appreciated.

This question has been asked before; see this thread http://www.control.com/thread/1026246445#1026248553 and in particular, the 28 July 2008 post, to which the poster never responded.

What has been done to try to resolve the issue?

Are you saying that the output of the gas turbine is normal *until* the fogging system is started, and then it drops by as much as 10%?

Has anyone plotted the before and during parameters such as CPD and exhaust temperature and exhaust temperature spreads and the values of primary and secondary exhaust temperature control (TTRXP and TTRXS), and FSR? (We're presuming the unit has a Speedtronic turbine control system which uses the typical signal names.)
