...then when you're done with that, go through the examples on the net (http://www.ni.com).

one way is to ask your Allen-Bradley distributor for a free demo CD of RSView32... publication number VW32-DM001A-EN-P... this has a tutorial to get you started and a lot of samples demonstrating various techniques... suggestion: play with the samples for a few hours... then go into the edit mode and take them apart piece-by-piece... notice how they are animated, etc. ...
