GSD files are Profibus files using Siemens Com-Profibus or SST Profibus software. But those software packages are not available to download. They available for only registered members.

Can you please suggest any other software that can read the same .gsd extension file?

GSD files are text files, the GSD editor will give you the help to fill the fields with correct value,but you, if you know exactly what you are doing, could edit or write GSD files simply with a text editor such as SciTe or another editor: could be VIM or notepad ...

A gsd file is simply a text file which can be opened with any text editor. Packages like Com-ProfiBus and SST ProfiBus use these file to configure devices on a ProfiBus network.
