We have a Control and Monitoring Application using Modicon PLCs. Communication Protocol is Modbus Plus. Network is Fiber Optic deploying Fiber Optic Modems (Model No. 2910) from Fiber Options USA.
As these modems are no longer available, we want to use Hirschmann OZD Modbus Plus Fiber Optic Modems G12 in place of defective modems.
Can we just swap the defective modems with Hirschmann Modems or something more has to be done?
Please advise.
