I'm doing a project on HMI's systems where I need two examples of HMI's systems: one of hardwire and the other software. I would need to know the basic features of each unit, operational requirements and a typical cost/benefit review of the software-vs-hardwired panels. I would greatly appreciate this information before Thursday February 28, 2002.

I think the best way to proceed with the Hardware/Software solution comparison is to first define the application's requirements. After this is completed, a review of HW/SW that are capable of meeting the project requirements can be
made. At this point, a evaluation can be made as to what would be the best solution for the job.
