Does anyone know how to initialize and and restore a HM backup on SCSI hard disk?

Yes, there are various procedures.

Basically it is done through the NCF.

Stop the HM from auto-booting by using the reset twice.

Once the HM is loaded with the HMI personality, you can go through the drive configuration pages on the NCF and then run F5, which is initialise hard drive. You have to setup the drive type and the volume space to meet the HM usage.

Once initialised, you copy the boot files (there is an automated .EC file which does this), restart and the HM should auto-boot.

Then copy all the volumes you need across.
