Can anyone please tell me how to disable the IKB alarms and additionally the engineer's key doesn't work with EST's.How to enable this facility by some software configuration.

Engineer's key works with GUS but not with EST's for which we have to go for soft key.

 

You will be surprised, but you can disable IKB alarms only by deconnecting the cable from the IKB speaker.

The engineer's key is not supported with EST. Instead you must install the SignOn Manager software to be able to change the user level. I don't know really why they didn't physically remove the keylock if you can't use it.

You can disable alarming of the IKB after each reboot with the engineering key on engineer and then simultaneously presssing SIL + LED Test. Two bleeps will confirm.

We had the same questions and HW answered to us: Disabling IKB alarms is only possible to disconnect the wiring of the alarm physically (in the IKB). Security changes is only possible software wise, thus not via the key. The IKB is not designed for EST functionality (unfortunately).

 

Engineering key work with EST like GUS. i don't know which version of lcn you use and which version of est you are having.

through signon manager is also one option which you can use alternatively.
