i am facing a problem during measurement of hotwell level. as there created a difference of level about 200 mmWc after one or two days, in reading of lvl txm and local gauge. txm shows lower lvl as compared to the gauge. the other interesting thing that i have noticed that water accumulated in the impulse line of dp txm on lower pr side or you can say vacuum side. kindly help me out to overcome this problem.

Hi there,

You have done a dry leg setup instead of a wet leg setup in your installation. The steam condenses and start to fill up the dry leg therefore changing the original differential pressure you have calibrated. The tx WILL start to show a lower reading as the LP leg fills up since your DP is now less than what it should be.

Do a wetleg setup and the problem will be resolved.
