Using Visual Basic built in APIs, how I can retrieve Modicon Quantum PLC 4xxx data.

Which API do I have to use?
In same manner may I also retrieve the digital data?

This is very easy if you have an Ethernet card in the PLC. "www.modbus.org":http://www.modbus.org will tell you everything you need, including sample VB code.

If you want serial, I'm afraid I don't know anything about.

The most simple solution is to buy the Schneider OFS (OPC Factory Server). With this server, you can read and write any variable in the Quantum, through any network.
