Please check the following links.

ICCP (Inter-control center communications protocol) is the synonym for the IEC Standard 60870-6-502 (-803), also known as TASE.2.

IEC TC 57 (WG 07) has published the standard in 1997. TASE.2 is THE standard for communications between control centers.

Information can be found at:

TASE.2 is part of the UCA (tm) -- Utility communications architecture:

Comparison of IEC 60870-5-101/-103/-104, DNP3,
and IEC 60870-6-TASE.2 with IEC 61850:

UCA (tm) has been used as major input for the new standard IEC 61850 (communication within and with substations):

Hope that helps!

I was member of the IEC TC 57 WG 07. At this time I am involved in the
publication of IEC 61850.

Have fun!
