while changing tap from 15 to 16, generator reactive power increased to 98.78 MVAR while step up transformer reactive power increased to 103.75mvar. Same time "loss field" alarm received, what could be the reason?

This is a 250 MVA turbo generator & a 265 MVA transformer with OLTC
