I have been given an assignment for developing a device driver for DF1
protocol for PLC-5 and SLC 500 series of AB.The basic aim of the driver is to communicate with PLC for value transfer hence I am looking for a Master / Slave half duplex arrangement. I have to develop the driver in "C" on Linux.

I would like to get some help for getting the relevant information manuals / documentation for the above protocol. I also want to get in touch with people who have done some work in this area for help / trouble shooting and exchange of code.

I have some more queries regarding this protocol. ---------

1) I also want to know what physical layer does it support?
2) What is the difference between DH+485, DH-485, Device-net , Control-net standards? (If I am not mistaken than all this standard supports DF1 protocol)
3) Which programming manuals of PLC-5 / SLC 500 series would provide me details of the protocol and commands implemented?
